Reflection Number 1
The Leadership Project for ENLC 500, Health Care Leadership, Values, and Social Justice, was an unforgettable assignment. In this project, we had to develop a proposal in the workplace that would make it more efficient. It was a change, and as a leader, it was important to understand how to reduce potential conflict yet ensure the changes are thoughtful, communicated with care, and still allow the people affected to provide their input. The artifact I chose, my leadership project, involved effectively tracking employees who work remotely. With COVID-19, remote working has become commonplace for many businesses in different industries. Maintaining a productive and efficient workplace and work environment, albeit remote, had challenges. Understanding all the intricacies of implementing change as a leader was a learning journey throughout the course.

Reflection Number 2
Our coursework during ENLC 553, Financial Management in Health Care Systems, required us to learn how healthcare as a business works. As such, we were required to compose a business plan for a health-related clinic or service. Each week, our assignments were developed on the plan we had chosen. For example, the business plan includes an introduction and description of the type of business or service. Ultimately, we were introduced to the financial and marketing aspects of a healthcare clinic or service. The artifact I chose to exhibit is the financial plan of my business plan for an employee and student wellness program covering startup costs and profit and loss.

Reflection Number 3
HCIN 544, Advanced Health Care Information, introduced us to cyber security threat management topics as well as privacy and security risk assessments. Health data is quite susceptible to being compromised and hacked. Aside from those healthcare-related concepts, we also addressed leadership and professional development through a concept called emotional intelligence. Our write-up on emotional intelligence is a concept introduced by  Peter Salovey and John D. Mayer in the 1990s that deals with all the attributes a leader should have to understand with whom they work. This artifact taught me valuable skills to cultivate in a leadership position.
